Tour. Come enjoy fabulous wines, fresh local food and
rich history while traveling in comfort from the Rose City. Charming downtown Walla Walla lined with
tasting rooms, galleries and boutiques will entertain you. We’ll “round-up” the trip in Pendleton, OR
home of the famous annual rodeo and Woolen Mill.Our tour from Seattle can
include an option of departing from Portland.
Day 1: PORTLAND, OR TO
WALLA WALLA, WA
Meet your InquisiTours Tour Director in the morning at a
pre-determined pickup location in Portland. The journey will begin along the
scenic Columbia River Gorge East to the Walla Walla Valley. The drive offers
many highlights including waterfalls, volcanos, orchards, dams, wind farms, and
vineyards. Lunch will be provided along the way. Upon arrival in Walla Walla,
we will take a walking tour of downtown followed by a wine reception before
checking in to the hotel for the night.
Day 2: WALLA WALLA, WA
In the morning learn about
the lifestyles, traditions, and crafts of the regions residents including
Native Americans, the Lewis and Clark expedition, and Oregon Trail Pioneers
with a visit to the Ft. Walla Walla Museum.
The rest of the day is yours to do what you please. You can choose from an optional excursion,
visit art galleries, museums or tasting rooms in town. Whatever you decide to do, you will want to
be back in time for a special dinner.
Day 3: WALLA WALLA, WA
TO PORTLAND, OR
This morning, a walking
tour of town will reveal Walla Walla’s creative side and a surprising amount of
world-class art. Upon leaving town, we’ll head toward the great western town of
Pendleton Oregon, known for its Round-Up and Woolen Mills. After lunch, we head West, with a few
surprises before a bringing you back to Portland.
